Still At Home Camping In The Wild

The call of nature is becoming immensely popular. The urge to explore remote areas has become a part of mainstream eco-tourism. Vacationers are more interested these days in moving out of the well beaten tourist track. The excitement comes from going to the unexplored and confronting the unexpected. This is a departure from the all too common perspective of going to a beach, mountain spot, water fall, river or wild life sanctuary where everything is too well organized. These sensitive travelers are ready to take on the hard life. Whether hiking, trekking, cycling or biking, these travelers prefer isolated spots to settle down and camp for a few days and nights.

Often the place one selects to set up camp is uninhabited. There is also no immediate access to modern facilities. You will have to ensure that you carry with you all the essential items. This will require advance planning and preparation. Depending upon the climate and the environment in which you plan to stay for a few days, you will have to prepare a list of equipments and gears that you need to acquire. You know too well that all these are literally your survival pack, and you need to carry them in your backpack.

Camping tent comes on top of our list if we decide to stay on for a few days and nights. It provides us security and privacy, protecting us from the wind and rain. It will have to be spacious enough to accommodate us. Camping tents are available in various sizes. They are available with the camping equipment dealers. They vary in shape and weight. Some are hardier than others. The ventilation, vestibules and number of doors are different with different models. There are small camping tents and larger ones that can accommodate more persons. Making your brief sojourn secure and comfortable will mean that you take care of a number of essentials. It is related to your personal safety, health needs, your subsistence needs and navigational aids. But then make sure that you do not over burden with too many things and in too large quantities. What you need will also depend on where you plan to camp and when you do it.
