If a bar holds a beer permit only, and runs out of a certain beer, can a customer buy it and bring it in?
The bar I work at allowed a customer to buy their own beer at a local store and bring it in because we had ran out of his brand of beer. It was my understanding that unless it was purchased from the distributer, it couldn’t be brought in.
It can be brought in and consumed at the discretion of management and according to state and local laws. It sounds like unless you sold the patron some food your management doesn’t understand the value of proper stocking and good employees need for tips.
