Wii balance board troubleshooting
Are you looking for ways to fix Wii balance board problems? 1. Wii Balance Board Does Not Responding
First, check if the batteries have been correctly installed, and make sure the battery level is not low. Try a fresh set of batteries if necessary. Place your Wii balance board in front of the Wii console and in the correct direction: the blue power button facing away from console.
Now try to play with your Wii balance board again. But Wii balance board only communicate with the console if the game you are playing is compatible with it. So make sure you insert a Wii balance board compatible game disc of course.
2. Wii Balance Board Sync Problems
If your balance board can not sync or lost its sync with Wii console, you have to try the following. First, turn off you console and unplug the power cord for more than 15 seconds. Then plug it back into the Wii console and turn on the power of the console.
If the blue light on the top of the board stays lit steadily, it means the balance board is synced. If not or the light is blinking, then you need to re-sync the Wii balance board.
Insert a compatible game disc. Select the Disc channel and click “Start” by the Wii remote. Get through the wrist strap screen by pressing the A button. Then Search the red sync button located on the front of the Wii, under the SD card door, and the red sync button on the Wii balance board which is located under the batteries.
Firstly, press and release the sync button on the Wii balance board, you will see the lights on the Wii balance board are blinking. At that time quickly press and release the sync button on the Wii. After that, the blue light will stop blinking and stay on steady. It means you have completed syncing successfully.
3. Wii Balance Board Not Telling Correct Weight
Your weight is not correctly detected by Wii balance board? Are you using the balance board on a carpet? Try using it on the wood floor. OR you may try using the foot extensions, because it will ensure functionality of Wii balance board on thick carpet.
